Teachers lose add modules rights in new courses

Something strange:
  • When we create a new course in 1.95+ the teacher no longer sees in edit mode the dropdown boxes for resources AND activities
  • The admin sees everything normal an can add..
  • In old courses under 195+ teachers keep there old rights to add resources and activities
  • If I add an old module to 195+ (a module without roles-control?) the activity box reappears, but only with this old activity as choice..
  • I upgraded a copy of 195+ to 1.9.7 (with also a copy of the database) and then the same (database-value?) problem is visible in 197
So, where did I change the rights for new courses only??

By chance have you turned on the "Restrict modules by default" in Site Administration > Security > Module security? The text for this setting says "Should new courses that are created that fall into the above category have their modules restricted by default?" Key word here is "new courses". Just a thought.

YES I DID! SOLVED! THANKS!

My thought was to have as admin "hidden" test modules for my self.
(I see... I switched the wrong ones OFF instead of ON blush)
