Hello,
I would like to use forum in a different way:
Only one specific student will be able to read and reply to the post the teacher has done (the teacher is choosing which student )
So in fact each student will have there own forum and discutions and this conversation will remain complitely private
Can you help me for that ? Maybe there is something more appropriate than the forum to do that ?

Why not use separate groups, with only on participant in each group?

Petr Skoda just made a separate plugin module that does exactly this.
And at the OU my colleague sam is working on a rewrite of the forum module that has this feature.
However, there is currently no way to do this in standard Moodle.

I don't know if he has announced it publicly yet. I just saw the commit on the CVS email list. The code is in http://cvs.moodle.org/contrib/plugins/mod/consultation/?pathrev=MOODLE_19_STABLE. I am sure there will be a modules and plugins entry in due course.

i havn't found any downloadable package for this module maybe there is a way to contact the author directly?

Yes i considered this option already but i havn't find a good package for the dialogue module.
I always have an empty page after i submit a new dialogue.... this should be a direct redirection in the course or in the dialogue front page of the module.
