Hello, everyone. I was hired as an adjunct instructor at the last minute, and thrown into the world of Moodle.
I borrowed a book on Moodle, and I've looked through the docs, but I still have some confusion.
I created a quiz in the form of an essay question. The question was "Please name the 7 blah blah." I want the quiz to be worth 7 points. I set the maximum grade to 7.
When I go to Grades, the grade box says " /1." So I'm confused.
Why doesn't it say " /7."
Also, if I go to the Edit tab for the quiz, under the Grade column I see:
A box with a 1 in it
Total: 1
Maximum grade 7 (which I entered).
Hi Mitch
You need to configure the total for the question as well as the total for the quiz. The box that has a 1 in it next to the question title is the max grade for that one question. The Maximum grade (with 7) is the grade for the entire quiz, have a look at another quiz with more than one question. This total can be different so you can scale the quiz within this screen.
Change the Grade for the question to 7 and click save changes. Then when you go to grade the essay questions the total will be out of /7.
I hope this helps
Cheers
Teresa
