Just disabling save without submitting does not really achieve anything. The student can start the quiz, do some screen grabe before they type anything, close their browser, do their research, then go back in.
If you really want to prevent research, then the two most effective strategies are to set quite a short time-limit, and ask questions that test understanding, rather than memory.
