Pop Up Window??

Pop Up Window??

Hi

In Williams Rice's book "Moodle 1.9" it say that use of the Lesson slide show option should cause the lesson to appear in a pop-up window, but I can't get this to work. Is the book wrong?

Main reason I want this is because the "in the same window" default only allocates the bottom half of the screen to what I want students to read - i.e. the lesson content & questions.

Hi

Any thoughts out there - even if the answer is "no it doesn't work like that", at least I will know!

So.....with Slide Show option set to "Yes" should the lesson appear in a popup window when run?

Come on folks!! Why doesn't it work? Is Martin available to answer if nobody else knows or never needs this feature? All I want to do is have the lesson show up in a pop up window, not embedded. Should it work??

Have attached a gif of the settings I am using but they don't seem to have any effect?!

Mark

Otherwise everything else I have used in Moodle seems to be fine!

I've never messed w/ slide show before, so I tried it on one of my lessons. I got less than stellar results. No content at all. Just the title and the continue button. I think the CSS must be broken (or I don't know enough to make it work).

Looking at the documentation, http://docs.moodle.org/en/Adding/editing_a_lesson#Slide_Show there is no mention of a pop up.

I'm also unclear, Mark, on what it is you're seeing when you don't use slide show. I'm using slide show set to off and left menu on, and I get lots of space to read content on each lesson page.
