Scaled Assignment Receives Percentage

Can anyone please let me know how to remove the percentage column from the gradebook when you are assigning a scale.  I am grading assignments according to a Satisfactory scale in Moodle 1.9.2.  The problem is that when a student logs in to view his/her grade it indicates the satisfactory, not satisfactory, or outstanding.  However, the student also see a percentage column.  For example a student receiving a satisfactory grade will see 50% under the percentage column.  This obviously creates confusion.  Is there a way to turn this off or change.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Diane

Scales are treated internally as numbers with a maxgrade equal to the number of items in the scale which explains why you are seeing those percentages.

A feature was added recently in 1.9.x to allow you to turn the display of percentages off:

grade_report_user_showpercentage: See the much-voted-for feature MDL-15887

1.9.3 is imminent so you might like to upgrade to that.
