Feedback not giving link to questions when non-anonymous

I am using Moodle 1.8.1. I have created a feedback questionnaire and set it to show the names of the users who answer the feedback questionnaire.
However, when I log on as another user to answer the questions it doesn't show the "answer these questions" link and comes up blank.

Is anyone else having the same problem and have a solution?

Hi Jason,

only users with the capability "feedbackviewreports" have the possibility to view the Answers of other users.

I am not quite sure what you mean there. I didn't mean to view the answers of others. I mean theres no link for the user to start answering the questions set(answer these questions link).

Hi Jason,

can it be, your feedback is located on the frontpage?
If it is so, you change the default role for the frontpage to "authenticated user".

No it's not located on the front page. It is in our staff development area which is in effect a course page.

Hi Jason,

please check what permissions the users have in that course. Maybe they have no capability to complete the feedback.

My problem is different. If a person whose only role is 'student' accesses the feedback module they see the questions and are able to answer and complete the exercise as intended. If, on the other hand, the person has multiple roles, including a student, the view of the module also includes the editing tabs, thus giving the person the ability to adjust the set questions etc.

I must add that we upgraded from 1.6.5 and so most of the course creators/teachers are actually course creators at the system level. Could this be why?

Hi Carlyon,

this is a role problem. Since moodle 1.7 the roles can be mixed. If a user has editing and completing permissions so he can do both.
It is not a bug 眨眼
