When I enter a username and password I am sent to the Home page and at the bottom it says "You are not logged in. (Login)". Any ideas.

Hi, can you please try the latest nightly
http://moodle.com/download/moodle-nightly.zip
and see if it fixes this problem? If not, please email me your URL and I'll take a look at it.
Cheers,
Martin

Tried the nightly and still have the same problem. My site is www.teacherweb.pitt.k12.nc.us Thanks for all your help.
Hi, I had the same problem when I tried login in my moodle's installation: in some computers I could login and others not, so the problem was not about the installation.
The question is that when I'm under a firewall I can't log, in the same way that I can´t post in a forum or create a new course, for example. If I disable the firewall then I can log and do anything without a problem.
I think that's the problem (although it sounds a bit strange) or at least for me it was.
Cheers

Yes, I see the (unusual) problem, but not the solution (yet).
Can you please upgrade to 1.0.4 or (better) a recent nightly and see if the problem still occurs? I don't want to debug something again if it's already been fixed!

Excuse the broken English I'm French Canadian.
I have installed Moodle today and I have the same problem, it appears that the php session data file gets created but nothing is written to it, I guess moodle tries to get some info from the cookies but there is nothing there and we get a can't login problem.
If you have any clues I would appreciate.
Thanks
Ron.
