Using Moodle 1.8.2+
When going from course to course, updating Quizzes, it seems that the Question Bank Categories change which courses are listed in the dropdown menu.
Example:
Course 'A'
I'm in the Editing Quiz main screen.
In the Questions Bank section there is a drop down for Category:
In that drop down are "quiz A 1, quiz A 2, quiz R 1, quiz R 2, etc..."
Course 'B'
Same parameters
In that drop down are "quiz A 1, quiz A 2, quiz B 1, quiz B 2,"
No quiz R 1 etc...
It seems that in each course I enter, the list of categories changes to an extent.
My question is mainly regarding whether or not there is a section in which I can manage all categories that will be universal regardless of which specific course I am in.

Categories are particular to each course.
In 1.8, there was an option to 'publish' categories to allow them to be used by other courses, however this never really worked.
In 1.9, the question bank was rewritten to do what you want.

If that is the case, then how am I able to see other course Quiz Categories in multiple courses? And also, how might I change that without it disrupting the bank for the course which it pertains to?
