    Hi,

    Please could this also show version number, i.e. 2013022800.00 as there is no complete correlation between the number and the build date (release) and plugin's have dependencies on this.

    This plugin contains MySQL specific code (like $DB->get_record_sql('SHOW VARIABLES LIKE "version"');). Plugins should use the Moodle database layer so that the plugin will work on all the database platforms supported in Moodle. As is, this plugin only works in MySQL. Please could you fix that?
