Enables web conferencing between Moodle and Adobe Connect to be added as an activity to any course.

The Webinar activity module enables Adobe Connect hosted webinars to be added as an activity to any course. This is intended for hosted Adobe deployments, not on-premise deployments - see

The module has been recently updated (May 2014) to support Adobe Connect 9.

The Webinar activity module includes the following functionality:

  • Add/edit/delete webinar session
  • Assign a host user to a session - based on 'teacher' system role
  • Register for session / assign students to a session
  • Unregister for session / unassign students from a session
  • Automated email notifications to registered students
  • Join session
  • View / record webinar
  • Run attendance report

Hi, the moodle admin interface tells me there is a version "2013031400" available for this module, but the git repo only has version "2012102900" available. I guess this needs to be corrected on the plugin directory page?

Thanks for the plugin! One issue to report: the email that gets sent to participants that I enroll in a webinar (I am the teacher / admin) includes a link to join the webinar. If the person is not already logged into Moodle, once they do login they get this error "Must specify a course module or a webinar ID".

    Two other issues.
    1. The timing of my webinars is always off by one hour. I 'add session' and set the time but when I save it, the next screen that shows the summary of my sessions is 1 hour early. Both my moodle and AC time zones are set to UTC - 5 (East Coast US - NY). I don't know if the issue is related to daylight savings and if so, how to fix it.
    2. If I try to edit a session I've already created, under "Host" it says "Select a host" but there are no names to select. Thus I can't save changes because the Host field is mandatory.

Thank a ton for the plugin - I have one issue:

Can we make the join session button available even after the session is in progress? Its very inconvenient for people who are late by a few mins and the system won't let them join the session. We manually have to provide the adobe connect meeting link for the late participants. Our sessions allow people to join in late - so making the "Join Session" button availalble through out would really help us. Let me know if there is some code we can change manually here.

    Hello all,
we are using moodle 2.4.7, webinar plugin 2013031400, integrated with Adobe Connect.
The problem is that after their platform upgrade from Adobe Connect 8.x to 9.x, the integration stopped working.
Does anyone have the same issue?

By the way, I have already contacted Adobe Connect support via live chat, and they replied that I should speak to moodle support...
They did verified the sitexmlapiurl setting.
and also gave me this url:

We are also having a problem connecting to the Adobe Connect Webinar version 9, like Panos is. Are there any plans to upgrade this plugin to work with Adobe Connect Webinar version 9?

We installed this on Moodle version 2.6.1 and having a number of bugs. I realize it was supported up until version 2.4 but I read a few people mentioning Adobe Connect version 9 causing problems with this module. So my question is, does anyone know what the status of this project is in relation to two things.. Moodle version 2.6+ and in relation to Adobe Connect version 9?

    Hi all,

Apologies for the long delay in updating this plugin - the latest version available for download is developed for Moodle 2.6, and should now support Adobe Connect 9 accounts.

    Best regards,

Thank for the plugin update. Unfortunately it doesn't work still.
    Moodle 2.6.3+ (Build: 20140522) &
it doesn't create the meeting in the Adobe connect platform as it should.
    any suggestions?

We have Totara/Moodle 2.7 connected to our hosted Adobe Connect 9 using the webinar plugin. We are experiencing a problem with our session, because it will allow the 1st person into the session, but all succeeding users get an error message that the session could not be found. Some users receive an email saying that their adobe connect account has been locked.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi, the last update of this module was for Moodle 2.6 / ACP 9 so it may not work in later versions. No further updates are planned at this time, I'm afraid.
