This module allows creating jitsi-meet videoconference sessions fully integrated in Moodle. These videoconferences will use your Moodle username by displaying your username and avatar in videoconferences.

Jitsi-meet is an open-source videoconferencing solution that enables you to easily build and implement secure video conferencing solutions.

Whether you use the public server provided by Jitsi (meet.jit.si) or use your own Jitsi video conferencing server, with this plugin you can create video conferencing sessions in your Moodle courses in a simple way: just configure the domain of the Jitsi server and then, in the course, create a new Jitsi activity.

The module also allows the use of tokens to give moderation permissions to the roles you want using the mod/jitsi:moderation capability. (For this option it is necessary to have your own Jitsi server with token configuration).

Schedule your video conferences in time and make them accessible with The minutes as you want. In addition, the session will be shown in the Moodle calendar.

Jitsi allows video conference recording, direct transmission to YouTube, screen sharing, full screen display, statistics display, among other features and all these options are fully compatible with this module.

We have an ansible (ansible-jitsi-meet) to configure your own Jitsi server and for example to be able to use Token moderation.

    Really a great plugin! Today I saw the functionality on the profiles page. Could you explain this a little bit more?
    It would be great, if this could be enhanced as a networking component?

    Hi Daniel, and thanks.
    It is a private room that users can have in Moodle. It is still an initial idea and the intention is that it progresses to become a method of communication between users. Now, for example, it incorporates a notification when someone enters your private session, little by little it will come closer to a networking component.

    Hi Yuriy,
    In principle, if you have a jitsi server configured with tokens, that button should not appear to students. If you don't have a server with tokens (for example if you use meet.jit.si) the plugin is not configured to be able to hide this button to students. I will keep it in mind for future releases if I can hide it for tokenless servers.

    Hi Sergio,
    I use tokenless server. I have found a disision for that case.
    I have added to lib.php to str.383
    if (!$teacher) {
    echo "disableRemoteMute: true,\n";
    echo "disableRemoteVideo: true,\n";
    echo "remoteVideoMenu: {\n";
    echo "disableKick: true,\n";
    echo "},\n";
    this code

    Hola Sergio, he revisado la documentación y distintos foros, pero no logro encontrar la información que necesito. ¿Qué nivel de SSL es necesario para que funcione Jitsi en Moodle?
    ¿Con que cumplan los requisitos básicos para ser SSL es suficiente, o debe ser de un nivel superior?
    Gracias de antemano

    Hola Javier, en principio con los requisitos básicos te debería servir. He estado buscando en la documentación de Jitsi, pero no lo he encontrado. Es verdad que este requisito es del principio que empece con el plugin y alomejor han cambiado. Pero no deberías tener problema.
