Sets

This plugin is part of set Cubic. Plugins from the set work the best when installed together.

This local plugin introduces the intitutions concept into Moodle. It allows the Moodle administrator to add, edit, or remove intitutional pages (university page, school page, etc) that can then be accessed by any user without leaving Moodle.

I recommend you use this plugin with Cubic, a theme for Moodle that I also created (https://moodle.org/plugins/view.php?plugin=theme_cubic).

Bruno - Many thanks for sharing this plugin with the Moodle community. It would be helpful if you could provide a documentation URL in the Useful links section (either Moodle Docs or Github's wiki). In addition, let's make sure to declare dependencies in the version.php. Peace - Anthony

This plugin looks to be exactly what we have been searching for. How do you use it without the Cubic theme as we are on v2.4?

I never tried this plugin on Moodle 2.4, so in case you install it and it works please tell me so I can update its information.

To use it without Cubic you must write the full URL on your browser, I'm currently trying to add links to the Navigation and Admin Settings block but I didn't find a solution yet. The main URL would be: http://your_moodle_site/local/institutions. From that page an administrator can add, edit, or remove institutions and any user can view and access them.

The institution page I added runs in a small window, about 400x400. Any ideas. It has scroll bars on the right and bottom but is not what your demo site has for your institution you added.

The styles are defined by the theme in this case Cubic, but maybe there is a way to define CSS files on the local plugin. I'll check on it.

I uploaded a new version that solves the problems you mentioned. You can now access the institutions page from the Navigation block and when you access it, the page displays correctly (I tried this on Afterburner theme I hope it works for other themes).

I have made my site accessible at http://69.146.183.72/local/institutions/view.php?id=1
Using the Afterburner theme is better for the institutions plugin but it is still not acting correctly. Could you look at what I am seeing and suggest a correction? Thanks.

I tried to access the institutional page on your Moodle site and it worked as expected. Could you please tell me which browser are you using? (I'm using Chrome) Besides that, could you tell me what kind of behaviour were you expecting?

I'm sorry for my late answer but from now on will be harder for me to work on this during the workdays.

Hi Bruno - I find this plugin quite useful. But, neither admin nor students find navigation block or bread crumb trail to go back to the Moodle site. We can see only the institutional page, not any Moodle site links.
Can you enhance this plugin with navigation path?
