This Moodle enrolment plugin synchronises cohort and group memberships. It does not make any user enrolments. Only users that are enrolled via other enrolment method are automatically put into groups based on their cohort membership.

Thank you very much for this very useful plugin!

It seems to me that there is a small bug.
When an enrolment method is created for a given course, the number of users shown is always zero, although the number of users in the corresponding group is not zero.

Do you have a Moodle 2.3 version of "Cohort members to group"?

    Hello,

Maybe a stupid question, but in which folder do I have to put groupsync?

    Thanks in advance,

I'm getting an error after installation. I've uploaded the groupsync folder to the /enrol directory. I've installed it and it's appearing under enrollment plugins but when I click on Settings in "Manage enrol plugins", I get a "Section Error".

Am I missing a step? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

FYI If you are not using a 'different method' you can sync cohorts to groups by going to:
Enrolment methods > edit Cohort sync > Add to group.
Apples to version 2.4 and newer.

Hello, Does anyone know if this works in 2.7.x?

It does. It has been used at moodle.org for a while so it is sort of tested regularly to work with recent Moodle versions.

Tested on version 3.0.2+; works as expected. Can we get a version bump?
