Thanks for sharing another plugin with the Moodle community. Please specify the version(s) of Moodle for which this plugin is designed to work with. Also, consider renaming the Github repository to moodle-block_course_status_tracker (instead of moodle-block-course-status-tracker). You may also want to have a look at http://docs.moodle.org/dev/Blocks#db.2Faccess.php as I did not see an addinstance capability which may through some notices. Another factor to keep in mind is that there is an issue with long table names. It looks like most of your plugins are not creating tables but there is an issue with the length allowed with some databases so it is better to keep the actual name of the plugin reasonably short. I look forward to reviewing more of your plugins and thanks again for your patience with the review process. Please do not hesitate to let me know if there is anything I can do to be supportive of your efforts. Peace - Anthony

I would encouage renaming the Github repository on this before we approve it. I have installed and tested the plugin and it seems to work well. I am not sure wha the abbreviation S. No stands for and would make that column a little more descriptive. Also, consider adding breadcrumbs on your pages so that users can easily get back to the course or home page. Otherwise, things seem to look pretty good. Peace - Anthony

p.s. - It looks like the repository was renamed but the the URLs here in the plugin entry were not updated. I have updated them and will approve this plugin. Great work!

    Hi,
I was translating the course status tracker add-on in AMOS (http://lang.moodle.org/) and I found that there are many English language strings used in this plugin that are hard-wired, and therefore, not available for translation into other languages.

I think this add-on will improve if all those strings are declared as variables included in the lang folder:

    Enrolled ourses
    Completed Courses
    Course in Progress
    Undefined Course Criteria
    Course Enrollment Report
    ...

    THANKS

Thank you, German, for your great suggestion. We have resolved the language strings issue and you can try it now.

    Hi,
Thanks a lot for solving extremely fast and well the English language strings for translations.
I have translated in AMOS this add-on for the Mexican Spanish language, and it is now easier for my fellow mexicans.
I have tried this add-on on a local server and will now try it in my University site.
Thanks again for a nice Moodle addition.

Hi there. I have installed this block into the moodle blocks folder, and updated the moodle database, however it does not appear anywhere as an option as a block to install either on a course or main page. We are running Moodle 2.5.1+ (Build: 20130802) and have completion tracking turned on as we use it in all our courses. Any ideas?

Might I suggest allowing this block to show on the My Home page? It makes more sense to me to have it there than only on the main home page.

Great suggestion Heather. We are planning upgraded versions of this (and some other Plugins) where we will enable this feature. If you have any other suggestions, please share. You can always reach us directly too on lms@3ilogic.com.

    Hi everyone,

We are pleased to confirm that this plugin can now be used on any page as we have removed the home page restriction. Further, this plugin is now available for Moodle 2.6 as well.

    Query from Mitchell van

"When does the plugin counts 'Completed courses' and 'courses in progress'. I have installed the block en placed in my home page. but completed and in progress are set on 0. But I have unsubmitted assignments in my enrolled courses. How does this work?
Furthermore, the plugin looks great smile".

    Hi 3i,

I just submitted a pull request. Some of the issues resolved in the patch include:

    * Applies Moodle output filtering to data coming from database so that it gets formatted correctly if using the Multi-lingual or Multi-language and other filter plugins.
    * Applies date formatting using the userdate() function so that dates now appear in the same language as Moodle's user interface using formats defined in Moodle's langconfig.php language file.
    * Fixes the following notice which appears in the Course Enrolment Report (viewpage 2): Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /www/phacmoodle/moodle/phac-moodle/blocks/course_status_tracker/lib.php on line 145
    * Fixes the following notice which appear in all viewpages except 1 and 2: Notice: Undefined variable: a in /www/phacmoodle/moodle/phac-moodle/blocks/course_status_tracker/view.php on line 75
    * Removed CENTER tags that were formatting the header table. The CENTER is not supported in the HTML5 standard and was deprecated before that (WCAG 2.0)
    * Removed TABLE and related tags that were formatting the H2 header. Tables should not be used for the purpose of formatting content on a page. This also allows themes to apply their own colour schemes using styles for a more consistent overall site presentation (WCAG 2.0).

    More details are available at:
    https://github.com/3ilogiclms/moodle-block_course_status_tracker/pull/2

Please let me know when these have been integrated.

    Best regards,

    Michael Milette

I would also like to know if the mods have been integrated to the latest version and we would be happy to support the further development of this plugin. We are actually using it in place of the standard "course overview" in our 2.5 and 2.6 sites. Everyone is aware of the false reporting on completion tracking that block displays.
