This admin tool creates a link in Administration navigation and brings you directly in AMOS to check all missing or outdated strings in language defined for your platform. Very useful to see all missing strings, and bring admins to contribute to Moodle translation !

AMOS link tool

This admin tool adds a link in Administration > General > Language category that leads directly in AMOS and shows all untranslated strings for non standard plugins.

Note that admin needs an AMOS account to access to translation tool !

Installing via uploaded ZIP file

  1. Log in to your Moodle site as an admin and go to Site administration > Plugins > Install plugins.
  2. Upload the ZIP file with the plugin code. You should only be prompted to add extra details if your plugin type is not automatically detected.
  3. Check the plugin validation report and finish the installation.

Installing manually

The plugin can be also installed by putting the contents of this directory to

{your/moodle/dirroot}/admin/tool/amoslink

Afterwards, log in to your Moodle site as an admin and go to Site administration > Notifications to complete the installation.

Alternatively, you can run

$ php admin/cli/upgrade.php

to complete the installation from the command line.

Default installation instructions for plugins of the type Administration tools

  1. Make sure you have all the required versions.
  2. Download and unpack the module.
  3. Place the folder (eg "mytool") in the "admin/tool" subdirectory.
  4. Visit http://yoursite.com/admin to finish the installation
