This simple plugin adds a toggle button to the tinyMCE editor that enables speech-to-text dictation into the editor, using the somewhat supported SpeechRecognition api. Punctuation isn't yet supported, and you may need to dictate in clear short sentances to get it to recognise your words.

This SpeechRecognition api is supported in Chromium-based browsers and Safari. Firefox does not have it at time of writing (Feb 2026).
