This theme is the designers choice. You can make the theme look great, or just really awful. The theme is designed to have the possibility to reflect the corporate identity as much as possible with providing theme settings to adjust your header to your design needs. Some of the features are:

  • Responsive header divided into background/logo.
  • Font types.
  • MNET authentication.
  • Full-Screen mode for max working comfort.
  • Sub-themes for course categories.
  • Frontpage-Slideshow, category slideshow.
  • Social Icons.

Please note: As of Moodle 3.6, Campus development has stopped due to the removal of 'Bootstrapbase' in Moodle 3.7.  It might be possible to update the theme to be a child theme of Boost or a standalone Bootstrap 4 theme, but that would take a reasonable amount of time and effort.  Thank you to everyone who has enjoyed and used the theme in the past.

    Greetings David & Gareth,
Campus really is a great theme. We've done some testing and it's something we're considering as we upgrade to Moodle 3.2 this summer. We're wondering if you've had conversations about supporting docked blocks. I've scanned the comments here and don't see any mention of it. It's a feature our faculty like a lot.
    Thanks for the great work,
    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,

Docking is something that we don't want on Campus, however I'd be happy to provide a modified version of the theme for a fee. I think it would take about 2 hours to half a day of my time.

    Kind regards,

    Gareth

    Hi Gareth (and Ryan)
I use this theme on various Moodles with colleges I work with. As far as I can see it is the only one to provide category sub-themes which is a brilliant feature. I would certainly be happy to pay to see an updated version of this theme to include docking. I would also like to see if there was a simple way to offer alternative colours for the various symbols. Gareth, are you talking here about producing a version of theme that would be available to everyone as a standard theme? This would be my preferred option as it would allow others to benefit. Ryan, would you or anyone else be open to sharing the costs?

    Hi Ken,

Campus does not provide category sub-themes. There are only category headers within the same theme. Docking solution is currently under investigation. What do you mean by alternative colours for symbols please?

    Hi there Gareth,

Any chance we'll be seeing a 3.3 compatible version of Campus in the future? We're running the theme in our 3.3 staging server, and it's 98% compatible, but there are still a few niggling little issues. However, I'm not sure if it's because of the disparity between the 3.1 theme and the 3.3 server.

    Thanks!

    Hi Paul,

    Yes there is a chance.

    Kind regards,

    Hi Paul,

just change the height of your images used in the header. Make sure combined they equal max width of the theme and have the same height. Reducing the height will of both will do the trick.

    Kind regards

    Hi Gareth
Thanks for replying and sorry for my slow response to your post, I have been away for a while. I realise that category variation is only limited to changing the header so not actually a "sub-theme" but that is really useful in the contexts where I work, and as far as I can see Campus is the only theme that offers this feature.
When I say colours for the symbols, I mean the fixed symbols such as the dividing ">" in the breadcrumbs or the "?" in a circle which all seem to be a light purple colour. I cannot see a simple way to change these.

    Hi Ken,

There is no setting for the breadcrumb divider and the icons '?' in a circle have the 'iconcolour' and 'iconcoloursetting' settings.

    Hi,

I have a small problem with the way blocks show up on the Grader report, View page. I am on Moodle version 3.1.8+ and Campus version 3.1.1.16.
So, the blocs shoud be on the left side and they appear on the right, and the bar where we can see the activities is in the middle. Do you have any idea why ?

you can see a screenshot of the problem here : https://ibb.co/mFiYnm

    Hi Monica,

I cannot replicate that issue. Have you changed the theme code?

    Hi Gareth,

No I haven't changed it. It happens when i'm on editing mode. When I'm not it looks like this : https://ibb.co/mTZJ7m. I can give you acces to the platform if you want, I don't know if it helps, it is not in production yet.

    Hi Monica,

Just tried with editing on and cannot replicate. https://ibb.co/mFiYnm appears to me not to be in editing in mode as there is no cog next to 'Formation activities Moodle'.

Thanks for the offer of access. If I can replicate locally then I'll look at fixing it. Otherwise it is most likely to be local and specific to your site and that is 'support' which I charge for.

    Kind regards,

    Gareth

Unless I'm looking at the wrong screen. What is the 'url' of the page please (you don't need the domain bit, I just need the path)?
