Streaming media filter (RTMP) 1.6 (Build: 2015111100)

Release notes

ver. 2013052007 rel. 1.6 (Build 2015111100)

Accommodate change in way Moodle loads .swf files (indirectly via PHP script).

ver. 2013052006 rel. 1.5 (Build: 2014102000)

Add support for primitive HTML5 video and audio tags when no Flash plugin is detected. Configuration option 'Fallback to HLS' must be checked. Primarily a feature for Wowza users where URL for an HLS (http) stream can be constructed given the corresponding rtmp URL. A second configuration option for the HLS format is an attempt to accommodate Adobe FMS users who have added support for HLS--with its slight difference in the way the URL is formed.

CSS is improved to handle display of playlists on mobile devices.

ver. 2013052005 rel. 1.4 (Build: 2014031700)

Add support for closed captions. Filter has setting to determine whether or not captions (and CC button) displayed by default. User can override default behavior with "captions=[0|1]" query string variable.

Add awareness of CLI (assume it's the cron task) execution, and in case of CLI strip out rtmp URLs.

ver. 2013052004 rel. 1.3 (Build: 2014012300)

Relaxed regex rules for playlist labels
Rendering of playlists shifted to PHP, rather than JavaScript
Fix filter to work in question preview pop-up window

GENERAL INFORMATION
-------------------
The RTMP filter is an extension of the Moodle core_media_renderer
(filter, renderer, player) module. It looks for any anchor href
values that begin with 'rtmp://' and substitues the necessary html
span tag with attributes to be used by a corresponding javascript
module.

The module.js javascript file applies the flowplayer function, using
Flowplayer's rtmp plugin, to the elements with class values of
'filter_rtmp_audio', or 'filter_rtmp_video'.

INSTALLATION
------------
Place the rtmp directory in the site's filter directory. Access the
notifications admin page to confirm installation. Select which of the
the players (audio or video) you want enabled for filtering.
