Usage

Teachers want to conduct the final examination of a course with several hundred students in a lecture hall. For this purpose, an offline quiz is created in a Moodle course and the quiz is filled with questions from the question bank. To make copying more difficult, the lecturers decide to create several groups in the offline quiz that contain different questions. The forms are then generated, downloaded and printed out.

Two forms are handed out to students during the exam: the questionnaire (contains the questions and answer options) and the corresponding answer sheet (form with boxes to tick the selected answers). After the exam, all answer sheets are scanned and uploaded in the offline quiz of the Moodle course for evaluation.
Forms that could not be automatically evaluated by the system, e.g. because the ID number was incorrectly ticked or ticks or crossed out ticks are unclear, must be corrected by the teachers in the offline quiz.
Teachers can now allow students to view their exams online, where they can, for example, see the points they have achieved and check that their ticks have been recognized.

Note: The question types multiple choice, description and all-or-nothing multiple choice are currently supported. Questionnaires can be downloaded in PDF, DOCX or LaTeX format.

Bug Reports / Support

We try our best to deliver bug-free plugins, but we can not test the plugin for every platform, database, PHP and Moodle version. If you find any bug please report it on GitHub. Please provide a detailed bug description, including the plugin and Moodle version and, if applicable, a screenshot.

You may also file a request for enhancement on GitHub. If we consider the request generally useful and if it can be implemented with reasonable effort we might implement it in a future version.

You may also post general questions on the plugin on GitHub, but note that we do not have the resources to provide detailed support.

Hello, please help me. I am trying to translate the language pack from English to Portuguese. I am directly changing the file located in the folder C: \ Users \ DL \ Desktop \ Moodle PMAC \ server \ moodle \ mod \ offlinequiz \ lang \ en \ offlinequiz.php.

However, accented words are replaced by a question mark (). Could you give me a tip on how to solve this?

You have a character encoding problem. You should not directly change the english language file. Create a portuguese language file in AMOS (https://lang.moodle.org) instead. See https://docs.moodle.org/dev/AMOS_manual.

    Hello all

Wonder if anyone has any pointers or past experience working with MathType by wiris and offline quiz. I am really
struggling to display the MathType images in pdf format.

So, here is what I have done so far

    1) Created a simple question that has the following answer options, lets say
    a. 1/2
    b. 2/4
    c. 3/5

The fractions are written using MathType.

When I look at the preview HTML, I was seeing MathML tags instead of the picture, so I made some changes to locallib.php and added the wirisfilter in the list of filters and rendered the questions and answer text via the filter. It worked great and I can see images in html. So far so good.

Then I tried to generate the questions pdf file and found that the images were missing in pdf.

I have explored through pdflib.php. I think we need to update the function fix_image_paths of html2text.php to somehow read the mathtype image file and include the content in the form of a png/gif file but unable to figure out exactly how to do that.

Wondering if there is an easy option to do so. Any pointers would be appreciated.

    Hello to everybody,
I'm Olga from University of Verona, Italy. We tested the plugin at our institution but we have a problem in the answers sheet. The matriculation number of our student is not composed only from numeric digits, but also from 2 letters (VR): VRXXXXXX
Is there the possibility to modify the sheet to give the students the possibility to insert the correct matriculation number?
    Thank you for your attention!
    Bye
    Olga

if the 2 letters are always the same this is possible:
just enter into the offlinequiz | useridentification setting the following text:
    VR[6]=idnumber
This means: in the column "idnumber" in the user table there is "VR" followed by 6 digits, which the user has to cross on the form

Hello, we are loving your plugin. I would like to give you an idea. It is possible to take a test with several subjects and the result of the grade is separated by subject.

    Hello,
I tried to upload scanned answers (bubble sheets), the scans uploaded successfully. This message appears ( answer form(s) is/are pending evaluation.) but no marks appeared on grades. How I can fix this issue?
Thanks for anybody answering my question.
