How to play

What it is

MooDuell is a learning app based on quizzes. It allows learning and repeating learning content in a playful way. It also offers social interaction and comparison through a multiplayer context, which increases the motivation of the players. To further enhance this, there are high score lists, countdowns, general challenges, as well as push notifications - all related to the desired learning content.

The MooDuell app interacts seamlessly with Moodle, which is used by learning providers worldwide - so existing question sets can be transferred directly - so it only takes a few minutes to create a game.  Universities and other learning providers can therefore provide a social and fun stimulus to learning in a short space of time.

The increased motivation to engage with the learning material as well as the learning success have already been tested in studies and it could be proven that these were significantly increased.
The general gamification in the learning context shows the further development of modern society also in the areas of school and learning - it integrates a social context that was not previously present in self-study and a collaborative context is created.

Free to play

Per Moodle site you can play one quiz for free. If you want to play more quizzes you can get a license key directly in the app or via contacting info@wunderbyte.at. You have to have manager privileges at least for buying the subscription in the app.

The plugin stated that it supports Moodle version of 3.11 but it requires Wunderbyte Table, which requires Moodle version of 4.1

Sorry, this is indeed not correct. We switched to automated release and the minimum required version apparently is not automatically updated by the release procedure. We will try to make that somehow happen. I would also recommend to switch to M4.1 as M3.11 might have security issues.
