What is this?

This plugin if enabled, will allow users with the capability to create and manage activities to browse MoodleNet via the MoodleNet module. They will then be handed off to the MoodleNet admin tool that is a part of this plugin set.

Note: There are currently no plans to support these plugins on any Moodle versions besides Moodle 3.7 & 3.8 and only bug reports will be accepted.

What is MoodleNet?

A new open social media platform for educators, initially focused on collaboratively curating collections of open content. MoodleNet will be an integral part of the Moodle ecosystem, sustainably empowering communities of educators to share and learn from each other to improve the quality of education.

How is it used?

Going to MoodleNet from Moodle

Once the plugin set has been installed, you can then select the MoodleNet module within the course activity chooser.

The following can then happen:

1. You'll be redirected to a page where you can either add your existing MoodleNet account then go to MoodleNet or browse MoodleNet as a guest

2. If you have already entered you MoodleNet profile you'll be automatically sent to you MoodleNet instance

Coming back to Moodle from MoodleNet

Once you have found some content on MoodleNet and click the 'Send to Moodle' button

You'll have to confirm that you want to import the file as a security measure

Then either of the following will happen:

1. You can then select any course you have access

2. You jump straight to the next step (In this case you must have started in Moodle so the content will be added to your originating course)

You can select how you want the file to be handled i.e. a file module or label module etc.

Your new content will then be added to your course.

Installation

1. Add the plugin set to your Moodle instance by doing either:

- Install via the Moodle plugin directory with a uploaded zip

- use git to clone it into your source

-- git clone https://github.com/moodlehq/moodle-mod_moodlenet.git mod/moodlenet

2. Then run the Moodle upgrade

3. Confirm you now see a MoodleNet profile field listed against your user profile
