Full description

Modern Video Player brings a modern, learning-ready video activity to Moodle. It uses the Moodle File API for secure delivery, validates learner progress with heartbeat tracking, and supports resume/start-over prompts plus completion rules based on watched percentage and video ending.

Potential privacy issues

Stores per-learner playback progress, watched segments, completion status, and bookmarks. Records validated watch coverage, last playback position, playback rate, tab visibility, and integrity/suspicious seek flags. Progress/bookmark data is exportable and deletable through Moodle Privacy tools. No third-party tracking or external analytics is included in this free release. External hosted video providers and Moodle App remote add-ons are not part of this version.
