This plugin allows you to create certificates that can be automatically linked to a linkedin account.
A add to profile button appears on the certificate page and automatically redirects to a form to add the certificate on student's linkedin profile.
https://addtoprofile.linkedin.com/
Afterwards, visitors to the linkedin account can click on the certificate to obtain confirmation that the user has obtained the certificate.

We had a few questions:
1. Do you know if it will be compatible with 4.0?
2. Is there a way to add the 'Issuing organization'?
3. Is there a way to add an icon/graphic to be populated/linked?
Issuing organization can be set in plugin settings page (/admin/settings.php?section=modsettinglinkedincert => linkedincert | organizationname parameter)
What do you mean by customize?
This plugin has no customizations features.

I'm not sure to understand your problem.
The plugin is an activity that can be added on a course page.
This activity contains a button adding a certification on the linkedin user profile page.
Use the moodle resctrictions to display the button or not.
By clicking on the button, a link to certification page is added on the user's linkedin profile page.
