Hi Gordon - I can't replicate your error. I've now tested on latest Moodle 3.11.2+ (Build: 20210805) with Moodle 3.11 Fordson v3.11 release 1 (2021072100) and all appears to be working OK. Using Fordson theme in all it's appearances.

Hi Gordon, I downloaded the plugin and made custom icons and svg files for the resource type to the labelcollapsed/pix directory. The icon is showing ok in the left navigation panel, and when I edit the settings but not when I'm looking at my choices from the course view. I also changed the colour to blue but the text in course view is still black. All of the collapse up and down icons work ok.
    Can you help?

    Boa tarde!
Precisamos da atualização para que o Label Collapsed seja integrado ao Calendário do Moodle, assim como o Rótulo.

Hi Lanqui, I will be updating Label collapsed for Moodle 4 when I get time. The plugin should work in M4 unless within collapsed topics. All feedback welcome. I can't give an update date dues to workload.

    Dear Phil

First of all, great plugin and I know you are quite busy. Any chance you got to the update as yet. The college is moving to 4.1 Moodle and identified this plugin to be depreciated. If it can be updated before September that will be brilliant, if not thank you for all the years service this made structuring learning an excellent tool. I will keep monitoring the page for updates. Again, thank you for maintaining this plugin and the service you provided to the community.

    Dear Phil--

Absolutely great plugin! Very helpful plugin! I use it to provide my students with diverse choices for their pedagogical regimes.

I just updated my Moodle to version 4.2. The plugin works well except for the arrow icon on the right, next to the label's title. Unfortunately, it shows only an empty icon.

I know that you are busy but I hope you can update your fantastic plugin this summer before the fall semester starts. Please, please, please!

    My best, Eugene

    Dear Phil,

Love this plug-in - any thoughts on when you will have a 4.1 version available? We are going live with the 4.1 upgrade Aug 1 - any way to get an updated label before then?

    Thanks, Lori

    Dear Phil,
Thank you for the solution you provided to the community. I just have a humble question, do you have by any chance an ETA to update the plugin to work in 4.x? Thanks a lot.

The plugin v4.5 (2024111504) does not work on Moodle 5.0 (why should it?! -- it was designed for Moodle 4.5, on which it works great, thanks, Phil!). I spent a day working on this issue with ChatGPT, and "we" successfully resolved it. The revised plugin now works on Moodle 5.0. You can get the updated plugin from here: https://ematusov.soe.udel.edu/mod_labelcollapsed_moodle500_20250620_ChatGPT.zip Let me know if you notice any problems, please.

Thanks Eugene, I've now released V5. I tested your version and there were a few problems. The main problem was that the version you uploaded above appears to not work with more than one instance in any pone page. I've now implemented AMD fully as Moodle V5+ appears to have depreciated plugin access to bootstrap UX. This killed show/collapse in mod_labelcollapsed.

Dear Phil, Thanks a lot for your feedback. Do you mean that when one Collapsed Label is open, another gets closed? If so, I did not notice that I (with the huge help from ChatGPT) designed it for my own needs. In the courses I teach, the Label-Collapsed items are mutually exclusive. This is my course-centrism, which was my blind spot in my design. Thanks for pointing that out. If you mean something else – let me know, please. On my course sites, I use 5 Label-Collapsed items (on Section 0), and they all work well in my version so far.

Also, huge thanks for designing and supporting the Label Collapsed module!!! My students LOVE it. It makes the course very clean and user-friendly.

    With great admiration, Eugene

Hi Eugene, when I tested your version in Moodle 5.0 (localhost) the plugin works fine if only the one instance is present in any one page (in fact I can't remember exactly if it did, but lets say it did). I then added a second instance, by duplication in same page, and all instances stopped showing content i.e. all stopped working in UX. After a little research it appears that in V5 Moodle HQ have buried BootStrap, so needing to implement AMD fully. If you're seeing different results please let me know Moodle version you're working with now, so I can test. I've tested working with GPT, and get some very good results (so all power to you...). However, in my experience GPT is very good in a limited context, but fails to conceptualise the whole working project, and can fail to understand what the right hand is doing while working with the left hand (if that makes sense). Best wishes, Phil.
