I just came across the Kialo Discussion Plugin for Moodle, and it feels like exactly what I need! I remember a lecturer mentioning Kialo during a session on the platform with free video lectures, highlighting it as an excellent tool for boosting student participation and fostering critical thinking. The anonymous mode and visual representation of arguments seem perfect for organizing more engaging and in-depth discussions. I can’t wait to try this plugin in practice!

Hello, I tried to add this plugin to my Moodle system, but I received the following error: "Select Discussion: Unexpected error. Please try again. If the problem persists, please contact your course instructor or support." I couldn't find a solution. I need help. How can I fix this problem?

Hi Aysun! I'm one of the plugin developers. If you share your site name (feel free to direct message me) we may be able to help. Based on our logs it looks like there have been multiple Moodle sites with invalid SSL certificates trying to connect to Kialo. The Moodle site needs to be hosted via https:// and have a valid SSL certificate in order to work with Kialo.
