Is the plugin still maintained?

To some extent... I released it into Beta to see if there was any interest. Looking for contributors - code, ideas, etc.

The plugin is not supported by latest 3.7 version. Please make it compatible.

Mike, I was looking for a way to integrate Telegram into Moodle and found this plugin. (happy face)
Will you be updating it soon? I know that you've left Remote Learner and your focus is now on POET, so if you can let us know the status of support for this plugin?

Hi Luis. This plugin was developed under Poet Open Source. I released it as a Beta experimental plugin to see if there was community interest, and determine if Telegram could be useful as a messaging output plugin. I am hoping that there will be community interest and support. Ideally, it needs ideas for how it should/could work, and developers who want to pitch in. If you have developers who want to contribute, I am happy to take their contributions.

Thanks for this plugin. I have installed it and configured the key, username and bot name.
In the user preference, I did exactly what has been stated in the document. As I click "connect..." it is automatically transferred to the telegram desktop with /start.
I mean there is no need to enter the command manually.
However, when I click on the "save changes", nothing happens and still the ! icon exists on top of the telegram column.
Any comment of that?

This plugin is excellent. It should be an essential part of Moodle. It allows interaction with students directly and natural.

I've tried to get it to work with Moodle 3.11 without success.
Did someone manage to get it to work? I'm happy to try to update it to work with 3.11 but I'd like to check first if I have not botched my install or configuration

The plugin works, but only for administrators and site managers. Only they can receive messages.

Do not click on the link to enable webhook!!
Because then Telegram prohibits "getUpdates" and the plugin cannot get the user's "chat_id".
If this happens, manually remove the webhook
