    I've emailed Kyle Temkin about his repository above. I'd like to know if the two can possibly be combined.

    Hi John,
    There's an idea to include JQuery (1.9 i hear) in moodle core. It may be possible to backport it. In the event a backport is possible, i'm wary of this local_jquery and the core jquery clashing, so i'm putting this on hold for now.

    Moodle 2.5 contains jQuery libraries in default installation - see http://docs.moodle.org/dev/jQuery
