We provide full data souverenity and privacy, as no message contents are stored on our servers.

This plugin sets up the communication between your Moodle and eduMessenger and allows you to register your moodle instance within eduMessenger. After your registration you will get a quota of 10 Users that can use eduMessenger for 1 year for free. Please find further information on our website.

    Hello Michell,

Thank you for your interest to eduMessenger and I am sorry if the fact distracts you that eduMessenger is currently a commercial solution. Like many other plugins on moodle that connect to external services, eduMessenger too is an external service that needs maintenance, server capacity and further development. Unfortunately eduMessenger would not work without a centralized infrastructure that way.

There are many messengers out there that are free to use - and you pay with your data.

We wanted to create a messenger that is not selling your data to finance our services - who would pay? Currently we do not have a business angel that spends us a buck of money to make this free for some years and then .... ??? Would you charge the users themselves? I will look at all those children in impecunious schools that need their spare money for things of higher importance....

We are truthful and tell you that this is a service that helps your organization to spread the use of moodle. It is worth spending money for it. If you are interested as a school we offer special discounts, please just contact us using our form on https://www.edumessenger.org/access-to-edumessenger-as-school/

For other institutions we have the feeling that they could afford a little money - if you think you would deserve a special account too (NPO, ...) you can also fill in the form for schools and we look further.

    Kind regards

    Robert
