Your source control URL points to the main Checklist repo, whereas should it point to https://github.com/davosmith/moodle-grade_checklist instead. smile

The versions listed only go up to 2.3. Does this mean there are known issues with 2.4 or does this mean that it hasn't been tested with 2.4?

A quick test suggests it still works fine in 2.4

Should work fully in M2.7 - a quick test showed no problems.

I added the plugin folder to /grade/checklist but it is not recognized. Is this the proper location? I'm running 2.6.3. I would install it automatically but can't figure out what to do to make the folders writeable (and which ones) - they're 775 right now, shouldn't that work?

Edit - I added it to grade/export folder and still doesn't work.

grade/export/checklist is the correct location. It works there on all Moodle sites I've tried it on.

Any suggestions for how I can get Moodle to recognize it's there? It says missing from disk when I go to notifications. Last change log entry is * 2012-07-07 - Tested against Moodle 2.3 so this is the latest version of the plugin I take it...

If it needed any changes to work with later moodle versions, I would have made them before updating the 'compatible' version number.

All the times I've installed it, the process was: put the files in the right place, login as admin, visit the front page. If that doesn't work, then check all permissions, to make sure your webserver can read / execute all directories.

Strangely, it finally recognized it and prompted update. So good to go.
  • Just wondering . . .

I can confirm that it works with 2.8, apart from the 'auto check-off' feature, which does not work if you have activity completion tracking off and have switched over to the new logging system (default for Moodle 2.8). This is because the log data is written to a different table and I've not switched over to using this yet.

I have, however, not tested every feature fully (there are a lot of settings!), but I hope to write some automated testing at some point, to make upgrade testing a little easier.
