Edwiser Course Formats now includes three layouts List, Card, and Video [add-on] to suit linear, visual, and video‑first course designs within standard Moodle course settings.

List minimizes scrolling with collapsible sections or one‑section‑per‑page, Card presents sections as tidy visual cards, and Video centers a large player with a collapsible “next up” sidebar for uninterrupted playback.

What’s included

📋 List Course Format: Simple, collapsible outline with a choice of “all sections on one page” or “one section per page” for clearer progression.

🗂️ Card Course Format: Sections and activities rendered as visual cards for quick scanning and direct access to resources.

[Add-on] 🎥 Video Course Format: Video‑first layout featuring a large player and an auto‑generated playlist in a collapsible sidebar; works with uploads and embeds (YouTube/Vimeo/etc.) without changing the theme.

Key features

Streamlined navigation to reduce scroll and help learners reach activities faster, across all three layouts.

Responsive design and settings that integrate with core course format options for easy adoption by teachers and admins.

Still waiting for the drag and drop of activities to be fixed as well as the bulk edit feature to be added.

Hi I am using 4.4+ problem : Failed opening required '[dirroot]/course/format/renderer.php' (include_path='[dirroot]/lib/pear;....\moodle\server\php\PEAR') What could it be?
    thanks
  • Desgraciadamente, aún persiste el problema de arrastrar y soltar actividades, así como que se agregue la función de edición masiva. Es lo único que me falta para poder usarlo, porque los docentes ya están familiarizados con esta funcionalidad

We are using this course format with Moodle 4.1.12 with an individualized theme based on boost. We have observed the following in the cards layout: Within the titles of the activities in section 0 all words appear with a capital letter at the beginning although we have typed them correctly. Example: we type "Ankündigungen von der Kursleitung" but what appears is "Ankündigungen Von Der Kursleitung". Do you have any idea what goes wrong here? Thanks for your help, Jutta

Issue Report: "Edwiser Course Format" Plugin Configuration

I would like to report an issue with the "Edwiser Course Format" plugin. When configuring the option "Hide general section when empty" to "Hide," the general section is not hidden as expected. Additionally, the general section displays the information entered in the course summary or description, even when this section is empty. We believe this behavior may be a bug, as it does not align with the expected functionality of this course format.

We kindly request that you address this issue in future versions of the plugin. Thank you very much for your time and attention.

    Best regards,
    Laura

After installing the recent update to version 4.1.18 I now see an error on all my course main pages and users are unable to access. No other content is accessible within the course and the error throws the user out of every course that Edwiser Course Formats is used for. The error is clearly related to the recent update regarding the two fixes mentioned in change logs - the error seems that a file/file location does not exist:

Fix - Availability condition not displaying when restriction is added in Card Layout.
Fix - Completion condition not visible in card layout view.

Here's the error when visiting any course regardless of the theme in use: Exception - Class "core_courseformat\output\local\content\cm\completion" not found

v4.1.18 is not compatible with Moodle 4.1: https://github.com/WisdmLabs/moodle-format_remuiformat/issues/122

Please correct the information on the release.

I have just carried out a Moodle upgrade on a site, and since the upgrade, whenever I am in 'edit settings' for a course, I get an annoying pop up appear advertising Edwiser options. I don't know if this is created by this plugin, or the Edwiser Site Monitor plugin, but has anyone else seen this, and if yes, how do we disable this feature?
