Support:

The format comes with NO support.  Please see the 'Support' section in 'Readme.md' file that comes with the format.  This is because the format is complex and I regret that I don't have the time / resources to freely assist with questions pertaining to specific enhancements / changes / knowledge improvement.

I will investigate genuine bugs and issue fixes in a timescale set by myself.  When reporting issues you MUST clearly state the full version and release of both Moodle and the Grid format format as contained within their 'version.php' files - if not it takes me longer to figure out, often resulting in me asking for the details anyway and slowing the process of solving your problem down.  It really helps to upload and describe in detail the issue you are having on the 'Course formats' forum.

More to follow as new icons have been added....

Privacy API support starts with V3.3.0.5 for M3.3 and V3.4.0.4 for M3.4 where the API has been implemented in the minor release of Moodle.

    I'm getting a debugging notice

    Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$students in /var/www/clients/client22/web41/web/course/format/grid/format.php on line 21

    Other than that seems to be working fine.

    Hi Julian

    Seems to be re-writing the topic names in the navigation block and only showing those topics that have an activity or resource beyond a label. See http://www.flickr.com/photos/kerryank/6349274976/in/photostream for a screen shot with explanation.

    Cheers

    Hi again

    It's re-writing the topic names in the navigation block in your screen shots as well.

    Cheers

    Looks promising, easier that fooling around with inserting table into labels. I'm getting this error

    Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$students in /afs/csl.tjhsst.edu/web/www/studentlife/activ/nhs/course/format/grid/format.php on line 21

    hi
    i haven't tried the most recent version yet so forgive me if this problem is already solved, but the grid hides drop down menus in 2.2.

    We also installed the the latest Grid format onto our recently upgraded site (2.1.3+) and have had issues. The module installed into moodle ok, then a few days later it was used in a very simple course. Coincidently Apache then crashed and wouldn't restart until the Grid format folder was deleted from the ....\course\format\ directory. Unfortunately the system crashed last Friday afternoon so we lost a whole weekend until Monday when our tech's returned to work.

    This format looks so promising, can we plese have an updated version that is fully compatable with 2.1 then 2.2.

    Great format! It works great for me, without any issues. Is there way we can show more than two topic images in a row? I see some space was left out to the right. I appreciate any help to fix this. thanks

    You can change the grid.css file. This worked for me: #iconContainer {
    width: 100%;
    overflow: hidden;
    padding: 0 0 50px 0;
    margin-left: 20px;
    margin-right: auto;
    }

    The format is amazing. Me and my team would love to use the format on all of our moodles, but the recent reports of some of you sound quite scary. Though I have tested the format on our testserver, these problems seem to be hard to test beforehand. At the moment I am unsure what to do. Would be great to hear some more positive/negative reports of others, or Julians opinion. Thanks
