About Slider

You can add slider, and configure parameters like interval, disable navigation or pagination, add header text or slide effect, and more.

Slider can be responsive or not.

Block uses SlidesJS or bxSlider jQuery based slider library.

Allow to hide slide title and description untill mouse hover, with css animation effect.

Display slide descriptions below slide title.

bxSlider

New slider js library - bxSlider - allows You to confgure more settings and set how slider should behave.

filter_slider

Go to filter_slider plugin page

A must-have addon for block_slider. Now is fully supported by this Block.

Filter plugin that will allow to display block_slider anywhere on Moodle is ready.

Installation:

Install the plugin like any other plugin to folder /blocks/slider
Or use Plugin installer, see http://docs.moodle.org/en/Installing_plugins for details on installing Moodle plugins

You have to Turn on Editing Mode then click Gear icon near Block title and choose from drop down menu Configure Slider Block.

Hi Kamil

Is it possible to make a setting, so that the description of the slide is shown under the headline.
Right now the description is only used in setup.

Hi Kamil,
I´ve installed slider with 3.9. Unfortunately the el.redrawSlider is not working f.e. when the drawer is showing up. So the slides are keeping their original size and a part of them is hidden. I am using boost and tryed to deactivate all css modifications. But that was not the problem.

In my local moodle works fine, but in a real site of school don't work, no message or alert, I try both Slider js lybrary any idea how I can Fix this problem?

I notice that I was using a modified theme and with Boost theme the pluggin works well, I tried another themes and Slider doesn't work, I don't know what happen, Can you help me, please?

Hi Kamil, I've succesfully added the block to the default dashboard for all users, but the slider images used in the default dashboard block do not appear for users - slides only show up on a per-user basis. (if I add to my dashboard I see images).

Is this expected?

help solve the problem. The theme is installed by TREMA. No way can I set the slider to the top of all courses and the entire contents of the main page. I 've already gone through all the settings . it doesn't work out. The square with the block is at the bottom by default. how to fix it?

Hello,
I've submitted pull request with a fix for when using the default dashboard.
It still requires the dashboard to be reset for all users after adding, editing or removing slides, but at least it is displayed for all users.
