Not always logged in, you want to be up to date about new content, discussions or events in your Moodle courses? This moodle block implements a solution that periodically notifies learners about new content or activities included into a Moodle course. This solution will act as a sentinel that detects whether new contents or new activities have been included into the Moodle course, and notify the learners and/or the instructors about that. Notifications methods are:
e-mail message
RSS aggregator
SMS message
There is also a version of this plugin for Moodle 1.9 that can be downloaded from the Website.

Great plugin!! i did as you said and have run the system manually and works perfectly thankyou, just one last question, is there the option to be able to edit the out put message to something generic and default above the updates so the students know who its from a little clearer?
any help would be greatly appreciated and thankyou once again for the plugin!

Please try the latest code I have pushed online. When the support email is set this one is going to be used. It should solve your problem.
Get it from here: https://github.com/arael/moodle_notifications_20
To apply the fix is only necessary to replace the files in the plugin by new available on Github? Or is there any option to change?
The manager says that notifications are still sending with the administrator account.
Kind regards.
Kind Regards,

I've instaled the notification block. But the email notification is not working. Do I have to configure something else?
Thanks in advance,
Carla
Thank you for this awesome plugin. I have moodle 3.1 installed. i installed the plugin and did all settings... i tried adding a file as a teacher and then working cron but i see no emails being sent. is there something wrong i am doing ?
Is it possible to add the block to all courses with the global settings? Our teachers are technophobes and it would be impossible to make all of them add this useful block to their course themselves .
is there a function to unsubscribe a student to the notifications?
Thank you in advance.
the students can disable the notifications themselves. It is in the personal settings of the block.
@Goran It could be helpful to increase the version number for version 3, otherwise i could not upgrade
Kind Regards
Roger
