What is this?

This is a sort of magic metablock. Suppose you're using Boost and you have a whole bunch of blocks making a course page longer than it should be, or cluttering up your Dashboard.

Using Multiblock you can collect all those blocks together and use 'one block's worth' of space and put all those blocks into the one space with one of several layouts, whether it's tabs or an accordion, or something else. Several preset layouts are bundled with Multiblock.

What styles of presentation are there?

  • Accordion
  • 2-column (split 33%/66%, split 66%/33%, split 50%/50%)
  • Dropdown
  • Tabbed list
  • Vertical tabs / pills

In moodle version 4.2 I can't edit the settings of a text block.
    Will there be any update?

@Ricardo, please report any issues you have into our github issues tracker - what you describe doesn't sound familiar and looking at the plugin stats there are a number of 4.2 sites that have this plugin installed already.

Hi, I love the multiblock plugin.
Unfortunately it's not possible to use multiblock on the homepage on the left side/content page, because in Moodle it's not possible to add blocks on the left/content page. So thankfully it's possible on the dashboard. Great work!

I think this is a brilliant idea - we made a video about it here: . Sadly, our IT department can't install it because they need something that matches our Moodle version, but I still think it is great!

    Thank you! Great plugin!
It looks like this block will not work correctly on Moodle 5.x. Do you plan to release 5.x version of this plugin?

@Alex - best thing to do would be to install the latest version from github and report any issues you find with using it to our github issues tracker.

    @Dan,
The plugin does not work in Moodle 5.x (it is impossible to switch between tabs).
This raises concerns about the future usability of this module.
Do the developers plan to provide continued official support for the plugin in Moodle 5.x, as they did for previous versions?

@Alex - the right place to report any issues is the github issues tracker (see the link for that here on this page.) - as with all new Moodle releases, 3rd party plugins will often require fixes to support new Moodle releases and we do not provide any guaruntee to the community around timeframes for future releases. The best thing for you to do is to report any issues you find with new versions to our issues tracker and keep an eye on the responses there for the future fixes. If you would like commercial level support (which can include guaranteed support for future releases) feel free to reach out privately and I can provide information on our rates.
