Motrain is a motivational design and marketing engine for Moodle. Learners earn virtual coins for completions, as well as for actions on other platforms, like making a purchase on your e-commerce site. Learners spend their coins on real incentives populated by your organization (or your affiliates).

I am looking for a referral system with the following features:
1. When a person registers on the website, they are assigned a referrer code. They are encouraged to share the referrer code with colleagues, coworkers, etc. (This code is added to the user's private profile, so they can retrieve it when necessary.)
2. When another person uses the referrer code, that other person receives a 10 % discount on the cost of the course, AND the referrer receives a 10 % credit that they can apply to future courses they take. (The default percentages can be set globally, and can be adjusted on an individual basis.)
3. Credits can be transferred to another registered user.
4. Optional: credits expire _____ months/years after being earned.
Having the credit be as virtual coin sounds interesting.
Example 1. An individual takes training, encourages their colleagues to take training, and everyone receives discounts. If done "properly", every course would effectively be 20 % off, with 10 % going to the person taking the course and 10 % to the referrer for future training.
Example 2. A company or commercial referrer promotes their referrer code, thereby accruing more credits than they can use. They can transfer their credits to people who have accounts.
