Add facebook like and comment box to your Moodle.

Please note: Due to the way Facebook plugins are designed, this plugin might have issues if the page it is displayed on is not accessible by Facebook.

Features:-

Facebook comment box, with custom number of comments.
Facebook like box.
Facebook share button.
Ability to display either only comment or like box or both.
Display individual box for each page or a single one through out the site.
Ability to manage all comments posted using a Facebook app id.
Supports a dark and light coloured theme.

Saul, can you see the comment box or is it completely empty? if it is empty, please make sure there are no issues with internet connection. The block needs to be able to access facebook and facebook needs to be able to access the page where block is located. So you cannot use the block on site which is just on local network or has private access only.

hola Ankit Agarwal, no entiendo lo de "Facebook App id" , no se como debo crearla, aparecen muchas opciones .. .no se cual escoger.

tampoco entiendo por que lo que escribo en el bloke no me aparece en la cuenta de facebook y lo que escribo en la cuenta de facebook no me aparece en el bloke en moodle

Hi Alex,
Please use English to explain your problem. From what I understand you are having issues with Facebook App id field. Click on the help button in the form, that should give you a link to generate an app id. Feel free to report any further issues that you encounter, here (https://github.com/ankitagarwal/moodle-block_fbcomments/issues) and please use English to explain the problem, as I cannot understand spanish, unfortunately.

We are attempting to use fbcomments which appears to be an excellent block. The issue we are having is that when using the Zebra theme the text in the block is not wrapping. Is there something we can do to resolve this. We are using Moodle 2.5

Hello, I just downloaded and installed this plugin. From the pictures, it looks amazing. However, I am having a problem with it. I am using the Aardvark theme and it shows only (Like, Share, and Comment Sections). It does not show the posts already on my Facebook. Also, the plugin itself is not sizing correctly, it looks too long and gets cut off. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for using the plugins. I have received a few reports that there is a css issue with some themes. I have created https://github.com/ankitagarwal/moodle-block_fbcomments/issues/5 for the same. I will have a look at that when I have some free time next. If some CSS expert can suggest a patch, that would be most welcome!

Regarding Posts not showing up. What do you mean by "My facebook" ? It will show up posts/comments related to the "url" of your site/page only. Feel free to raise issues in github with detail replication instructions, for easier tracking.

Love the plugin but cannot get it to work. I have the appid and got it to display but where i think it shoudl say "POST" ir just says "posting" and there is no way to actually post the comment. Any suggestions?

Hi, just testing the plugin on Moodle 2.7. Our theme (Essential) is to narrow in the right region, so the "Comment" button is not visible.

plugin seems to be cool, but i was not able to share content.. issue rises like "feature not available... try again"

I face some problem when I share any activity or any page on Facebook, content is shared but error text message is shown. and the second things is that have there any opportunity to show some description and image or video thumbnail when I will share my any page. thanks in advance. (N:B: all permission is enabled, guest access and googles search is enabled)
