* exabis student review Block - Description *
The main focus of this block is a periodical review of students within a teaching team. The basic idea of this module is that teachers do not always have time during the year to give verbalized feedback to the students but seek a simple way to do this periodically – for example at the end of each semester. Feedback with this module can be seen as an additional verbalized assessment-information that is given to students. Team assessments can easily be done, also between students.
Focusing on new pedagogical concepts establishing of a reflexive culture as part of education is an integral component. This module helps following this approach. Besides the verbalized feedback of students that allows the teaching team to give individualized feedback, each student can be assessed in different categories. Students may print their reviews at any time.
The basic idea of the module was to put a different organizational layer over Moodle-courses that allows a teaching-team, which might be different from a course-based-trainer structure to assess their students.
The configuration of students to classes for assessment can be done by any course-trainer.
After the basic configuration is done, any persons added to the assessment-team can assess students verbally. The course-teacher can print out the feedback for the whole class. In case that the exabis competencies block is installed students can also print out their competence-profile which includes verbalized feedback from exabis student review.
