Hello, just to say we at The Open University (UK) have adopted this for our upcoming summer release as a Calculator block resolves the surprisingly complex challenge of ensuring all students use the same calculator for their online exams! Obviously it'll take us a year to see what the student feedback is as the exams will be next summer.

I can't include images here, but one thing I noticed is that in the "instruction" text, decimal is given as ',', but '.' also works, so it feels like "Decimals: , |. " would be better.

Any plans to add modes, and the ability to lock the calculator to a specific mode e.g. Basic / Scientific?

Many thanks for the work making this, and sharing it with the community!

    Hello @Chris Nelson,

First of all, thank you so much for the kind words and for letting us know how you're using the plugin.
We’re thrilled to hear that The Open University is adopting it for online exams!

    Regarding your feedback:

Decimal point text: Good catch! I will update the instruction text to reflect that both , and . work.
Scientific mode: As of now, a scientific mode wasn't planned, but that definitely doesn't rule it out for the future.

Our immediate next steps are updating the plugin for Moodle 5.2 and adding two Quality-of-Life improvements: A button to reset the calculator's position.
A clamping feature so the calculator can't be dragged off-screen or disappear behind other elements.

We really look forward to your continued feedback over the next year!
