You need to use a theme that defines a region for blocks at the top OR customise your theme to add a top region - this might help https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=160567#p858808

Great idea. How is this block configured to only allow block editors to post. Also, it appears that the "add banner" symbol ("+") appears whether you are logged in or not. When clicking on this symbol (when not logged in), you are taken to a blank page.

Nm about the configuration issue. Need more sleep!

I have moodle 2.5 and I installed the block and cann't see the images in the block . in debugging mode I get this:

We've been using this block since last year, no problems! I do have a question, is there a facility to add alt text to the images when they are added to the banner block?

This doesn't appear to be maintained, we (Catalyst IT) would be happy to adopt this and take it over?
