This plugin allows the Moodle administrator to define as many correction types as wanted (e.g. orthographic error, pronoun error, capitalization, etc.). Buttons in the Atto editor then allow users to make inline marks in texts.

After a student wrote an essay, I wanted to evaluate this by using the regular "Make comment or override mark" option. I copied the student's essay and pasted it in the comment area. Yet, the correction option did not work. The button was not clickable at all. Then, I highlighted the whole text and formatted it as "Paragraph". Only then did the correction option work. I do not whether this is a specific case, but I still wanted to share it in case someone else faces the same problem.
When I install the plugin, I can see it on the toolbar but it's quite different than the one on the screenshot and it does not work.... Please have a look at this image

Indeed, it looks like the plugin can't find the button icons. Did you try to empty your Moodle's caches and reload the page?
Thanks for the feedback. Could you please be more specific, or possibly post a screenshot?
First let me say how useful this plugin is and I want to thank you for maintaining it. Any plans for a Moodle 3.0 version? I tested it in Moodle 3.0.4 and it doesn't retain the corrections...
Best
Thanks for your feedback. I'll have a look at it shortly as we're upgrading to Moodle 3.1 this summer. So I'll have to have it work for Moodle 3.0 as well. Stay tuned, the new version will be posted here when ready.
