The Pollinations AI provider integrates the Pollinations.ai API with Moodle's built-in AI subsystem (Moodle 4.5+). It provides three AI capabilities:

• Text generation — powered by models like GPT, DeepSeek, Qwen, Mistral, and more
• Text summarisation — automatically summarise course content and activities
• Image generation — create images from text prompts directly in the TinyMCE editor

Key features:

• BYOP (Bring Your Own Pollen) device flow — admins connect their Pollinations account with a simple device code, no redirect URLs or manual API key entry
• Automatic model discovery — available text and image models are fetched daily from the Pollinations API
• Per-user rate limiting — prevent abuse with configurable global and per-user limits
• Balance monitoring — scheduled task checks your Pollen balance and alerts admins when low
• Retry with exponential backoff — resilient handling of 429 and 5xx errors
• Content safety filtering — optional filtering for NSFW content, personal information, and secrets
