Could you not upload the files into the question text of each question, so that students can download them?

Yes, there are two ways to do this. One way is to create an Assignment activity but in the settings uncheck all the submission types (so students cannot upload a file/type text) and then you basically use this to record their scores. The other way is to manually create a 'grade item' in the gradebook and add the scores directly into the gradebook.

If you want to keep activity completion on but hide it on the course page, then click the cog icon Edit settings top right of your course and scroll down to Completion tracking - and change completion conditions to No. That way they won't be shown on the course page (but will still be shown when students click into an activity so they do know what they are supposed to do to complete it.) See Using Activity completion for more information.

How are you linking to the resources in your course? I think that if you use the Activity names auto-linking filter to make your links, then when you restore a course, the links will automatically change to the new course.

Hi Barb. I dont know how to remove the title because that is the actual title students will click on to get to the Book. You can hide the pages within it but I don't know how to remove the title. Perhaps someone who knows CSS might have a suggestion?
