Hello there. I think your problem is related to this new issue MDL-85510
From Site administration > Users > Permissions > User policies, disable Auto-login guests

I would create a separate account for them to take the quiz as a student. But be aware that if they are a teacher in the course anyway, they can see the answers, so it is not really a very secure way of testing their knowledge. Perhaps you could put the mandatory quiz in a different course where the teacher is a student as well as the students?
