Hello Robin. I know this isn't an answer, sorry, but as Workplace is a paid for product, have you thought of asking the company who provided you with Moodle Workplace?

Hello Sam. Just to confirm that the users are not trying to change their password for an account created via OAuth2 , Google/Microsoft, no? They are trying to change accounts either created by them or by you? Have you checked the spelling of their email accounts as site administrator?
