Don't use avi. Just download straight from youtube without any conversion - zamzar will do it much quicker then - and you don't need any embed code. If you have multimedia filters turned on in your Moodle then you just need to use add a resource>compose a webpage and then type some blank spaces -select those blank spaces - and link (the chain icon in the html editor toolbar) to your movie which you will have uploaded. It will play in Moodle's built in flv player and I think it is much better than any other method.

Hi there. Where are you converting the moodle video tutorial sfrom? if youtube then bar far the simplest is just to download " as is" with no conversion - they will be in flv format which,as has been said above, is best for Moodle. I wouldn't convert to quicktime as you'd have to download them to play, which is an extra step.
