You mean the Site news? If it's on your front page, click to add a new discussion topic but instead, go to Administration>Forum on the side and click Edit settings. You can change its name there.

Yes it will. You choose the group from the dropdown (as screenshot in previous post) and then you go to Export and choose your export type, eg Excel spreadsheet and it will just download the grades for that group.

Would adding the grade manually in the gradebook help. if you don't have so many learners?

There is a way, but it's not advised, unless you only have a couple of teachers and very few courses. See Assign roles and Teacher role
