Hello Alexander. Admin presets became core in Moodle 4.0. You can see a video of Moodle 4.0 on the docs page Site admin presets which might be useful.

Workplace™ is the commercial version of the free open source Moodle LMS and has additional extra features for large organistations, companies etc. The good news is that your site will be hosted/manaded by one of our Moodle Certified Partners and Service Providers, so if you contact them, they should be able to respond to your support queries.

Ah.. are you using Moodle Workplace™? The course catalogue isn't a feature of Moodle LMS and what you are describing sounds to me like Workplace.
