It's my own website, and I have control over it with cpanel - moodle was installed from fantastico de luxe. I'm using apache version 1.3.41 and php version 5.2.5. Oh and it's moodle 1.9.6 if i didn't already mention that.
Interestingly, my config.php never gets as far as a ?>, the last line is:
require_once ( "$CFG->dirroot/lib/setup.php" ) ;
I'm starting to remember the last time I installed moodle - am I going to have to uninstall this and then redo it manually? (I think doing it with fantastico failed me last time as well)

I have two problems with my recent installation of moodle.
Firstly, no icons show up (text links appear instead, for example 'closed folder', 'open folder' etc). I have had this problem before (i used moodle a while ago, in an earlier version) but I cannot remember how to solve it.
Secondly, none of the login links work. The message I get is "The connection was interrupted". Sometimes I can log in by going straight to /login/index.php, it's only the links from the front page which aren't working. But sometimes I can't even access it that way.
If anyone can help me with either problem, advice would be much appreciated

they are all set as practice lessons, including the ones that worked. however, now another student has completed the lessons that did work originally, and it claims that she hasn't.
2 of the lessons also have essay questions in them, and again claim that no one has attempted them so i cannot mark them.
I did it as a student, in fact I even used a dummy account to be certain.
Could there be any mistakes on my part in the settings for the lesson? they are set as practice lessons with custom scoring (max score 100). Also they were set to be dependent on earlier lessons, but now they are not.
I am using version 1.9.
I have created a series of lessons, all of which have questions in them.
The first few worked perfectly when I tested them, and displayed the grade I had achieved (which, considering I wrote the questions, was 100% each time) but the last two were not as successful. I completed the lessons but no grade is displayed, and it claims that "No attempts have been made on this lesson".
I have tried altering the settings of these lessons but nothing has worked, and they are set exactly the same as the ones that did work.
Does anyone know what I have got wrong?
