It is dangerous to shorten full "applications" to "App". The latter is generally used for mobile apps - OK, except by Microsoft. I have seen mountains of their documentations calling everything and the kitchen sink an "App". 

Back to the topic: This happened after a Moodle_migration? Did you also follow the step Moodle_migration#Update_links_containing_wwwroot_in_the_database?

I don't understand. The IT guy tried to move a Moodle installation from one platform to the other and confronted with application logic and the database abstraction?
 
This is what he has to do Moodle migration. Where does is go in to the application logic, etc.? That person needs to be specific.

Hi Rick

On Moodle Docs: I find it takes too long to explain how to migrate a Moodle site. References to Moodle migration, Site backup and Site restore make the life easier and less error prone than retelling.
 
BTW, you know Mary's recipe no. 387, Tip for linking to Moodle community sites and documentation?

No! No moderator approval needed. The credentials of the account on this moodle.org site are enough. The only problem, https://docs.moodle.org/19/en/ all the way upto https://docs.moodle.org/405/en/ are 30+ separate wikis!

On Carl's situation: Are you sure, you want to bring Carl the Centurion here? If you wish, then please! But without me.
 
Why MySQL CLI is not a tool in Moodle Docs: I'm not trusted with that wiki jungle. I imagine, since that is a general tool (interface).
 
Canvas documentation: For whom? For Carl's "Committee on Educational Technology"? I have zero interest.
